CINERASMUS: Black Cat, White Cat (Double versione ITA-ENG)

Gatto nero, gatto bianco (1998) di Emir Kusturica 

Nato come documentario sulle popolazioni locali e diventato poi film, Gatto nero, gatto bianco è un ritratto grottesco e travolgente sulla cultura gitana. L’edonismo portato all’estremo e una pittoresca ambientazione, fanno da cornice alle intrecciate storie di svariati protagonisti stravaganti. Un boss malavitoso, quattro giovani in cerca d’amore, due vecchi amici e molti altri singolari personaggi dipingono di un tono allegro e bizzarro il quadro delle vicende narrate dall’eccentrico regista serbo. Una colonna sonora vivace e coinvolgente come quella tipicamente gitana che fa da sfondo, scaraventa lo spettatore direttamente in mezzo alla baldoria, fra spiriti goliardici ed eccessi di ogni tipo. Film particolarmente piacevole, sia nella sceneggiatura che nella regia, entrambe firmate Emir Kusturica..

Born as a documentary on the local population and then became film Black Cat, White Cat is a grotesque and overwhelming review of gypsy culture. Hedonism taken to the extreme and a picturesque setting, framed by the intertwined stories of several and extravagant characters. A gangster boss, four young people in search of love, two old friends, and many other unique characters weave the events, narrated by the eccentric Serbian director, with a cheerful and bizarre tone. A lively and engaging soundtrack, like the typical gypsy, throws the viewer directly in the middle of the revelry, between goliardic spirits and excesses of all kinds. Movies particularly pleasant, both in the script and the director, both signed by Emir Kusturica..
